A training provider wishing to offer WSQ programmes must satisfy the required accreditation criteria. WDA has established mechanisms to accredit training providers and courses and build capability of training providers to design quality curriculum and assessment. A training provider who is approved for the provision of WSQ training and assessments is known as an Approved Training Organisation (ATO).

An employer can either send its staff to an external ATO or provide the training internally if they meet all the required criteria as an ATO itself.
