Skills Needed to Become a Training Professional

Six areas of practice have been identified in the training framework.

Training Delivery
Training Needs Analysis  
Training Evaluation
Training Development  
Training Administration

i Human Capital Development, which involves the development of human performance and potential for organisational success;
ii

Training Needs Analysis, covering the assessment of organisational, job and human performance needs to meet organisational goals;

iii Training Development, encompassing the design and development of curriculum and programmes to meet learning needs and performance standards.
iv Training Delivery, which looks at the delivery of training that maximises learning in accordance to developed programmes
v Training Evaluation; where the effectiveness of training in the transfer of learning to the workplace is evaluated; and
vi Training Administration, involving the administration of resources to ensure the effective conduct of the training event.
