Skills needed in the Landscape Industry
Landscape WSQ establishes the national occupational standards for each landscape job function and maps out the skills progression pathways at each level – Operations, Supervisory & Managerial.
The standards have been drawn up by the Singapore Landscape Industry Council comprising industry representatives, industry associations, government economic agencies and key training providers.
The training under Landscape WSQ leads to national qualifications like Certificates, Advanced Certificates and Diplomas, that are recognised throughout the local landscape industry.
Trainees can gain skills in the following Competency Categories:
1. Built Environment Practices (BE)
2. Horticultural Management Practices (HM)
3. Horticultural Sciences (HS)
4. Machinery & Tools (MT)
5. Project / Business Services (PB)
6. Training & Development (TD)
7. Workplace Safety and Health (WSH)
