For Landscape

Getting the skills for Landscape Industry

Singapore is well known as a Garden City, thanks to the great care taken by the landscape workforce over the past 40 years. Keeping Singapore green and beautiful becomes even more important in the future to make us more competitive and stand out from other countries.  The aim is to build Singapore into a City in a Garden.

That is why the Landscape Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) System is introduced. It is a national skills training and qualifications system for the landscape workforce that includes new and unique competencies which are aligned with the City in a Garden vision.

Landscape WSQ is jointly developed by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA), the National Parks Board (NParks) and the landscape industry, spearheaded by the Singapore Landscape Industry Council.

With Landscape WSQ, workers can undergo industry-recognised training to perform better at their jobs and move up in their career. Employers too enjoy a higher-skilled workforce that adds greater value to their business.
