Qualifications

The F&B WSQ offers over 180 competency standards grouped into two qualification tracks, namely F&B Service which is the front-of-house and F&B production which is back-of-house.  The food production track also allows for cuisine specialisations at a basic and advance level including, Bakery and Pastry, Western, Malay, Indian and Chinese. The qualifications are offered at four levels: Certificate, Higher Certificate, Advanced Certificate and Diploma.

The F&B WSQ qualifications pathway is shown below:



Depending on what is suitable for you, your staff and organization, you can choose to either:
i) Do one or more module/s; and/or
ii) The full qualification

There are flexible pathways that employees can achieve a Statement of Attainment (SoA):
i) Through training and assessment
ii) Through assessment only pathway
iii) Through recognition of prior learning (ie: current work competencies, past and current work experiences)

Employees can learn through a combination of work experience and training. This combination provides the benefits of practical application and uninterrupted time to focus on learning.

An individual who completes a module will get a Statement of Attainment (SoA). If he/she completes the required number of modules at the various levels, he/she will be awarded a WSQ Qualification.
