Strong growth is expected in the Aerospace Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) sector, driven by the growth of air travel and Singapore's status as an aviation hub. Industry growth will in turn drive job creation and career opportunities for Singaporeans. WDA is working with the industry to build up the talent pool for the industry with key support from the Association of Aerospace Industries (Singapore).
The Aerospace Workforce Skills Qualifications System, or Aerospace WSQ, is a national skills training system that is developed jointly by the Aerospace MRO industry and the WDA. It maps out the skills needed for a job in the Aerospace MRO industry, identifies the training workers needed for that job and create a qualification system to enable career progression within the sector.
