Anyone can learn employability and industry-related skills and get certified under the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) System. For basic work skills, you can be trained and assessed for your employability through the Employability Skills System.
With a WSQ certification, you:
- Can upgrade your skills
- Can assess your skills against established work standards
- Have credentials for your existing skills that is recognised by other employers in Singapore
- Can plan your career path
If you are employed and want to get workplace literacy and numeracy (WPLN) skills, you need to assess your current workplace literacy and numeracy competence first at the Centre of Employability Skills (CES) before subscribing to the appropriate level of training at any approved training organisations.
For other employability and industry skills, you can go directly to any of the approved training organisations once you get your employer's approval for that course.
