Workplace Safety and Health Professionals Framework

The Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Professionals Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) is a national Continuing Education & Training (CET) framework jointly developed by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA), the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and the industry.   

 

The WSH Professionals WSQ is a comprehensive framework which reflects the pedagogy, the philosophy and cultural perceptions of the country’s citizens, employees and sector employers together with an understanding of the strengths and constraints of the sector.

 

There is an overarching industry purpose to assist relevant stakeholders on WSH by identifying, evaluating and managing risks from conditions and factors which could affect the well-being of employees, temporary workers, contractor personnel, visitors and others at the workplace.

 

There are four (4) full qualifications in the WSH Professionals WSQ. These are:

  • Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH)
  • Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH)
  • Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH)
  • Graduate Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH)

The WSH Professionals WSQ aims to professionalise the WSH workforce by incorporating the world’s best practices and providing career upgrading pathways that are based on the competency requirements of different job levels.
